Translation: Italian Language

Italian is the official language of Italy and the Vatican. It is also recognized as a second official language in several counties of Croatia and Slovenia with a significant Italian population, and it is one of the official languages of San Marino and Switzerland. Italian is traditionally regarded as a language of emigrants: Italians can be found all over the world, especially in both Americas and in Australia. For more than 70 million people worldwide it is the native language, and around 150 million people speak it as a foreign language.

Translation from Italian and into Italian

General information:

A few words about art:

Italian has given the world many musical terms: piano, sonata, aria, prima donna, concerto, adagio, pizzicato, pianissimo, soprano, maestro, virtuoso and so on. In restaurants around the world you will be served "pasta," "pizza," "mozzarella," "cappuccino," "amaretto" and "sambuca."

It is said that it is extremely hard to speak Italian incorrectly, because there is simply no single literary norm: the language has more than two hundred dialects, and within them there are even more minor variations. Italians themselves consider themselves and each other first of all Romans, Milanese, Sicilians or Florentines, and only then Italians. So it can be said that every Italian village speaks its own dialect, and these are often difficult to understand even for people from another region.

On friendship between nations:

On great people:

The fates of many great Russian writers are connected with Italy. Gogol lived in Italy for nine years and wrote "Dead Souls" there. Most of Dostoevsky's "The Idiot" was written in Italy. Maxim Gorky spent many years on the island of Capri. The poet Joseph Brodsky is buried in Italy. The lives of almost all the poets and writers of the Silver Age were closely tied to Italy.

In brief:

Today, interest in investing in the Russian economy is growing among Italian businesspeople. Russian entrepreneurs likewise have similar interests in Italy.
